Battle of the Blogs

Description:

Battle of the Blogs is an on-the-spot competition. You'll be given a theme to do live blogging on the event day, at the premises of FAST.

Eligibility:

Any student who is currently studying in a college/university of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, is eligible to take part.

The Rules:

• The contest seeks originality of the work. Any form of plagiarism is therefore prohibited.
• Participants should reference sources as much as possible, but make sure that all reference links and quotes are accurate.
• Blog post should be on the theme given on spot.
• All entries should be in the English language.
• Entries should be no longer than 700 words, not less than 500 words. Abusive and irrelevant content will not be accepted.
• Avoid verbose writing.
• Blog post Entries will be reviewed by judges selected by NUCES FAST Karachi.
• The contestant bloggers will be given 150 minutes to express their ideas.
• Potential winner must comply with all terms and conditions of these Terms and Conditions and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements.

Judging Criteria:

The Judges will consider the following criteria:

• Originality (25%): Does the Blog post introduce a creative, original, innovative perspective?
• Relevance to Teaching (25%): Does the Blog post relate to teaching and learning?
• Effective Use of Multimedia (50%): Does the Blog post leverage and use video, images, screen casts, slideshows, animations or other forms of multimedia?
